PTO Calendar of Events

 



PTO would like to welcome all parents and grandparents to the 2011-2012 school year.  As a parent of a student(s) in the Holton school district you are a member of the PTO. This year we have a big goal of getting more families and teachers involved in our activities.  We have lots of exciting activities and events planned for the students and their families.  Below is a list of scheduled activities and fundraisers we would like to see your family involved in:

Back-to-School Carnival:  All students at Colorado and Central schools – August 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.   Siblings are welcome.    Each student will receive 5 free tickets for the night.

Country Mart Coupon books / PTO Reusable bags:  These are being sold at the current time and a note will come home with the students.  The books are $5.00 each and you will receive a coupon for $5.00, so book is essentially free to you.  $4.00 of every book sold goes to the PTO.  Reusable Bags are $3.00 each if bought with a coupon book or $5.00 each if bought alone. 

PTO General Meeting:  The first PTO meeting for 2011-2012 school year will be September 12th @ 6:30 p.m. at Central School. 

Wildcat Night at Buzzards Pizza:  September 13th from 5 to 9 p.m.  A percentage of the sales for that evening will be donated to the PTO.

Wildcat Night at Boomer’s:  October 25th from 4 – 9 p.m.  A percentage of the sales attributed to Holton Schools will be donated to the PTO.

Book Fair:  October 27th – Nov 4th.  

Wildcat Night at Pizza Hut:  November 7th and April 9th.  A percentage of the sales attributed to Holton Schools will be donated to the PTO.

Wildcat Nights:  Additional nights will be schedule in the months of Dec, Jan, Feb and March.  We will keep members informed of these dates and locations. 

Fall Conferences: The PTO will provide a meal for the teachers at both Central and Colorado during the fall conferences.   

Chicken Noodle Dinner:  Friday January 27th.  The PTO hosts a dinner at one of the home basketball games at the high school as a fundraiser.  We will need assistance with setup, food prep, serving and cleanup. 

Bunco Night:  February 9th, 2012.   This will be the second year for this event.  If you play Bunco, plan your groups February event with us.  If you have never played you can come and learn how.   Proceeds will go to the PTO and participants will be eligible to win great prizes. 

Golf Tournament:  April 28th, 2012  This year’s event will be held at the Fire keeper’s Golf Course.  It will be an 18 hole event.  We are looking for interested individuals to assist with the event.  If you are a golfer we would love to have you join us and play.  Details will be available in the near future.  If you know of anyone as an Individual or a business that may want to be a Hole Sponsor, please notify a board member. 

Teacher Appreciation Week:  The PTO would like to have suggestions for Teacher Appreciation week which is the first week of May.  Please join this committee to assist. 


***Additional events will be added as we are able to schedule them.  All suggestions should be brought to the PTO meeting on September 12th

***PTO Membership is automatic as a parent of a student in the district.  A $5.00 donation is suggested per family and can be paid at the PTO table at the Carnival.  Thank you for your willingness to actively help with PTO.
