Welcome to the second year of Educate America Training Grant. If you recall, last year USD 336 along with Atchinson and Washburn University exposed you to web design. Two Saturdays were used: one here in Holton and the second was in Atchison. During the two days you were to develop your own basic web site which was to be on line by the fall of 2000.
This year's program involves a two-step procedure. First, you will be asked to attend a one-day training session (December 9th) which will provide some new concepts along with a little training time. Second, you will be asked to work independently to complete a web site product. (See more for criteria)
During the training session it is important for you to realize that couple of assumptions will be made:
1. You have a basic understanding of how to use Claris Homepage.2. That you have completed the requirements of level I. (Web Site is activity)
3. You know how to return to the original Educate America site and use the training site/videos.
Please understand that while the trainers will be moving on to level 2 and under the assumptions listed, please feel free to ask any questions. The goal is for everyone to succeed.
Quick Overview:
December 9th will involve a short interview period, work time and introducing web activities, Quia.com and iMovie. You will be paid $110.00 for the six hours of seat time for December 9th. To receive the second part of your payment you must complete the guidelines set forth under Level II Criteria and have it approved by both your building administrator and technology director.
