Copyright is a major issue today, and since many
teachers and students are developing multimedia products,
(HyperStudio, PowerPoint and Web Pages), it is very
important to learn and teach about copyright. Designing a
Web page requires a basic knowledge of copyright. The
links to the right are articles which deal with teachers,
copyright and Web pages.
The first article was written by Jamie
McKenzie, "Keeping it Legal:
Questions Arising out of Web Site Management," and the
second article is in response to Ms. McKenize, written by
Ted Nellen, "A Response to Keeping It Legal."

Many of you have heard about fair use and may want to
apply it to your Web pages. Remember, the key to fair use
is for students and teachers to be able to use the
material within the walls of their classroom. Since the
Internet makes the material available for anyone in the
world to see, fair use does not apply. If you would like
to review the policies of fair use, the link to the right
displays the USD 336 Fair Use Policies.
