Anchors - can be used when you design a Web page that is very long to preview, when you want to direct the user directly to some portion of the Web page or when you want to direct the user to any part of another page. |

Horizontal Rule - used to help divide the information for the user. FileMaker has one simple horizontal rule on the tool bar, but others can be found in the clip art library or on the Internet. |

Assistance - provides a quick way to develop a Web site by answering a few simple questions. Assistance will help you set up the following types of Web sites: Newsletter, Personal Site, School Site and Presentation Site. |

Templates - provide a quick way to set up a Web page. Some of the templates available are: announcements, brochure, calendar, syllabus, kids' page and more. Once the template is opened, you can edit it any way you want and then save it in your own folder. |

Image Maps - this video explains how you take a graphic and turn it into a link. It also shows how you can take one graphic (for example a map of the United States) and develop it so different click points on the graphic take the user to different sites on the Web (e.g. click on Kansas and go to a Kansas informational page, or click on Nebraska and go to a Nebraska travel page.) This is an older video but it should give you an idea of how to create an image map.(Note: the last 10 seconds of the video disappears, but the sound works.) |
