Add Syllabus

Information

This will be a much shorter project, but it reviews everything you've done so far. Two additional concepts will be covered while you design your syllabus - spell checking a document and linking pages within your own Web folder.

The page you are about to create will be your syllabus page. Treat this page like any syllabus you hand out in class.

If you see this icon next to a movie symbol, you can click on this for a PDF file of what the video is saying.

Activity
Open a new page and type the information you want to include on your syllabus. Watch the videos for review, as needed. The videos are the same videos you saw earlier.

Activity
Spell check your document. The spell check works the same as any other word processing software.
Tip: Spell check is not even close to perfect. Checking spelling is just a process of comparing document words with dictionary lists. While it may catch "hte," your spell check can't discern the difference between "there" and"their" or "its" and" it's." There's no substitute for human knowledge of grammar and vocabulary -- yet.
Activity
Create a link from this page back to your home page. To see how to link within your own Web folder, watch the video.

Activity
Save this page as "syllabus" in the same folder where you saved your home page.
